SACRED RESILIENCE

An invitation to retreat
17 - 20 Oct 2025

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply breathe?

As a mother and woman working in the aid sector, you've dedicated your life to serving others while raising children in a world that has always been unpredictable.

But now, an unprecedented crisis with ongoing funding cuts looming and positions disappearing around us (maybe including your own – as in my case), that uncertainty has become a daily reality.

The sector you've poured your heart into is contracting, and conversations about "what's next" are no longer distant possibilities—they're urgent necessities.

In this time of unprecedented change, when the ground beneath your feet feels unsteady, this retreat is your invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the wisdom that lives within you—the wisdom that will guide you through whatever comes next.

Sacred Resilience, embodied - The Retreat

A 3-day mini-pause for Aid Workers on the beautiful island of Lamu (Kenya)

Nestled at the enchanting Banana House in the heart of Lamu’s Shela village, this three-day sanctuary offers you more than just a break from the stress and anxiety you’re currently experiencing.

It's a space to rediscover your inner compass, to remember that beneath all the roles you carry—aid worker, mother, partner, friend—there's a resilient, radiant woman who deserves to be nourished, who deserves to be seen and recognized, who deserves to come together in community – we do not have to go through this all alone. This is your moment to take a step out of the daily hustle, and focus on what’s next and how you can navigate these challenges in a grounded, embodied, and fully confident way.

Sacred Resilience, embodied

A tropical coastal scene with a swimming pool, white buildings with thatched roofs, palm trees, and boats on the water under a partly cloudy sky.

In intimate coaching circles, you'll explore the questions that you have been asking yourself for the past six months:

What does life after aid work look like?
How do I honor both my calling to serve and my need for stability?
How do I provide for my family?
What dreams am I ready to nurture?

The magic of Lamu will embrace you as we sail into golden sunsets aboard a traditional dhow boat, sharing stories and laughter with women who understand your journey.

These moments of connection remind us that we're not alone in navigating these transitions.

What Awaits You

Each morning begins with gentle yoga as the sun rises over the Indian Ocean, setting an intention of presence for the day ahead. Through mindful practices and conscious connected breathwork, you'll learn to listen to your body's wisdom and release what no longer serves you.

An Investment in Your Future Self

This retreat isn't about having all the answers—it's about creating space for them to emerge. It's about remembering that your dreams matter, that your wellbeing is not selfish, and that there might just be a “you” outside of this sector.

You've spent years holding space for others. Now it's time to let someone hold space for you in this time of sacred transitions.

If you are still unsure if this retreat is for you, schedule a discovery call.
